Emerson Presents Broadest Proportional Valves Product Portfolio at Hannover Fair

The combined Aventics and Asco product portfolios provide customers with unparalleled choice.

Mon – Fri, Apr. 1 – 5: Emerson to attend the HMI 2019 where they will present their broad Fluid Control & Pneumatics product portfolio. On their exhibition stand can be seen, for the first time the combined Asco and Aventics proportional product lines. A critical component of many manufacturing processes and machinery, proportional valves are used in industries as diverse as food & beverage, automotive & tyre manufacture, medical machines & devices and anywhere product packaging is carried out. Proportional valves are used in applications where greater control is required than on/off valves are able to deliver. Proportional control is more precise, more dynamic and easier to measure, but it also enables greater efficiency. Energy can be delivered as needed to prevent energy losses from the start.

Proportional technology is not only suited to regulating compressed air or neutral gases, it is also possible to control any other fluid. These include, for example, aggressive gases, water or other liquids. In addition to the standard controllers, Emerson's portfolio includes special proportional controllers, including those for laser cutting, ready-to-install solutions or IO-Link® variants, for easy integration with IIoT applications.

Working with a broad pressure range from vacuum to 70 bar or handling neutral and aggressive gases are all part of our application engineers daily life. High temperatures are also possible, for example, the proportional control of up to 198°C steam is possible. Proportional valves made of stainless steel for special machines and shut-off valves for handling aggressive substances complete the portfolio.

By bringing together the Asco and Aventics product lines we have also brought together a team of experts with specialisms in a variety of proportional control technologies. This enables Emerson to serve the broadest range of applications and markets. Some of these industry experts will be on hand to explain how pneumatic system health data can support predictive maintenance practices, improve energy efficiency and enable smarter decision making. You can meet them in Hall 23 on Booth C39. For more information about Emerson Industrial automation solutions visit
