The AES series control module is a compact, flexible solution for decentralized control tasks, taking full advantage of what pneumatics has to offer.
In addition to an optimized EP pressure regulator connection with signal and power supply via a single cable, an analog sen- sor signal can be written to the control module, enabling a wide range of control circuits, including air volume, speed, force, or pressure control with external sensors. The control module also enables control of a second EP and servo-pneumatic positioning with double-acting cylinders. All cylinder types with distance measuring sensors are feasible.
There is a broad range of applications for on-demand pressure control with electropneumatic regulators, from positioning, force, and volume control to complex superordinate pressure control circuits. In addition to the classic PID parameters, further parameters can be set for ideal control results. If nee- ded, direct pressure control can also be enabled. Simple control is possible via all fieldbus protocols and without additional com- missioning software. During the process, two parameter sets are available for application-specific customizations.
